Leah Guadagnoli was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1989. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Leah received her BFA in Painting and Art History from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2012, and went on to get her MFA in Visual Arts at Mason Gross School of the Art, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 2014.
Leah is thinking about interior spaces when developing her work; she uses inspiration from carpets, seating, walls of airports, hallways, waiting rooms and coach buses to form her unique, plush abstractions.
