Lives and works in Brooklyn, NY
Alex Heffesse is an artist and designer in Brooklyn, NY. His practice explores a broad range of environments and topics that include landscapes, urban forms, buildings, furnishings, clothing, social behavior, and the body itself. His sculptural works act as an open-ended narrative, challenge the relationship between an object and material in a given environment. Searching for humor and failure, he brings new meaning and absurdity to everyday objects. His work has been exhibited in New York and Florida, with his first New York solo exhibition opening in Spring 2016.
Alex Heffesse received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Oklahoma State University. As an extension of his art practice, he founded the fictitious retail brand HEFF, an e- commerce site that explores territories between art and design. Prior to this, he was a senior member at Snarkitecture.
